How do I transfer the title of my vehicle?

If you're moving to a new state, or if the vehicle is changing hands, you'll need a title transfer. The process requires the original title to be sent directly to the DMV by Mitsubishi per request of the customer or DMV. Customers are responsible for any fees associated with the transfer. The DMV will mail the new title directly to Mitsubishi. The DMV may also request the state permit/license number for Mitsubishi. This is necessary for the transfer of the title or necessary due to relocation of the customer.

IN ORDER TO COMPLETE A TITLE TRANSFER:
It will be helpful to the process if you have some or all of the following information prior to your request:

• Your Mitsubishi Motors Credit of America Account number that is located on your statement or your Social Security number.


• The complete address of the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) in your new jurisdiction


• The name of the person at the DMV processing the request


• Your 17-character Vehicle Identification Number (VIN.) The VIN is located in the driver's side corner where the windshield and dash meet, the driver's doorjamb, or on the vehicle's registration certificate, and


• The MMCA lienholder address shown below.
