Getting to know FUSE Hands-Free Media Gateway™

FUSE hands-free link system

The redesigned 2010 Outlander has many features specifically designed to give you control over every element of your experience. One of those features is the revolutionary new FUSE, which allows you to control music with your voice simply by plugging in a USB memory device or compatible iPod®*.

FUSE is easy to learn and use. A USB jack is conveniently located inside the front seat armrest. Plug in your music device and close the armrest — and you're set up and ready to go. Next, select the Bluetooth® mode on your steering wheel and the system is at your service, ready to offer up any of your favorite music at the sound of your command.

Just say, “play” followed by the name of the album, artist, playlist or genre you'd like to hear and the computer will find that selection and play it. It's that simple. No more fumbling with buttons and dials while you try to navigate traffic. FUSE is about more than just music, it also allows you to interface between your phone and navigation system.

Select a point of interest on the navigation screen map and FUSE will dial your phone and connect you instantly to the location on your screen. It's just another way FUSE helps you keep your attention on the road and your hands on the wheel.

Today, FUSE is available exclusively in the 2010 Outlander, but in the future you can be sure this exciting technology will be found throughout the Mitsubishi vehicle line-up.
