Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart Wins 'Best Overall Value' Award.

IntelliChoice.com, the leading source for automotive ownership cost and value analysis, recently announced the winners of its annual "Best Overall Value of the Year" (BOVY) awards for 2009 cars, trucks, crossovers and SUV's. This year, Mitsubishi is proud to announce that the 2009 Lancer Ralliart took home the BOVY in the sport sedan/wagon under $38,000 category, beating out a long list of worthy competitors from the U.S. and overseas.

The BOVY Awards evaluate every facet of what it costs to own and operate a vehicle over time, and honor best-in-class vehicles that deliver outstanding value and lower than expected costs. The awards recognize vehicles whose cost of ownership is significantly lower than expected compared to competitive models in the same class.

Of course, there's so much more to the Lancer Ralliart than value, considering it's packed to the gills with a wide range of high-performance technologies. Like a 237-hp MIVEC turbocharged engine, a six-speed Twin Clutch Sportronic® Shift Transmission (TC-SST) with twin paddle shifters and a proprietary All-Wheel Control (AWC) system. Any way you look at it, Ralliart represents a sophisticated mix of performance and comfort at a price point not usually found on vehicles of this caliber.

According to James Bell, editor of IntelliChoice.com, "When a brand like Mitsubishi, which is traditionally known for sporty performance, is also delivering class-leading value, consumers win."

A listing of this year's winners and additional information on the awards can be found online at intellichoice.com.

Lancer's navigation system ranked highest in J.D. Power and Associates study.

Recently, J.D. Power and Associates conducted a study on navigation systems. They asked people about things like the system appearance, ease of use, system routing, voice directions, navigation display screen and speed of system. The study wasn't limited to any single type of navigation system; on the contrary, it included a variety of systems with varying price ranges and categories.

Which vehicle's navigation system came out on top? The Mitsubishi Lancer.

The official name of the award is "Highest Customer Satisfaction with Factory Installed Navigation Systems." Quite a mouthful, but really, what it says is simple: out of every navigation system included in the study, drivers were more satisfied with Lancer's navigation system than those in other vehicles.

For drivers who already own a Lancer with a nav system, this prestigious honor should come as no surprise. With a 7-inch, crystal-clear LCD touch screen, it is exceedingly user-friendly. With features not yet available anywhere else—like an industry-first Diamond Lane Guidance system which uses carpool/HOV lanes to map out the fastest route—it's not just ahead of the technology curve. It's setting it.

And how many other nav systems have an ultra-fast 40GB hard drives that makes it even faster and more responsive? Or an integrated music server that can store up to 2,000 songs? Not many.

These features can't be found in other navigation systems, let alone one priced like Lancer. Yet another reason that Lancer is different than anything else on the road*.

Power and Associates 2008 Navigation System Usage and Satisfaction StudySM, based on 15,463 owner responses.
